The Farm

"Having the animals is a real
highlight. The zip wire and
marshmallows are always a hit"
Monkton Primary School

Getting hands-on with farm
animals is such a wonderful sensory experience for everyone, and so few children ever have the opportunity.

At Manor House Forest School we give your children this rare hands-on experience.

Meet Scooby and Harry, the ever so playful and mischievous Pigmy goats. If you scratch their backs and tickle their tummies they’ll be your tour guides for the rest of the day!

We also have 12 clucky chickens, 6 mallard ducks and one loud and proud cockerel! Get in the pen, ruffle their feathers, collect their eggs and have fun at feeding time.

Our proud collection of seven Kune Kune pigs absolutely love their belly rubs. See who can be first to get them to roll over like a dog! Get in the pen, groom them, feed them and listen to them squeal and chatter to each other.

Within the three hour session you’ll sketch the animals, have a golden egg treasure trail, learn all about the animals and their natural habitat by completing a fun quiz, and finish off cooking an omelette with the fresh eggs the children have picked from the chicken coop.

Small classes with a minimum of 8, or maximum of 24 children. If you don’t have your own transport, then we can collect your children in our minibuses.
